MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD

The minimum rental period is 1 day (24h). Delays longer than 1 hour will be charged 1 day extra rental.

PAYMENT

Payment will always be made upon delivery of the vehicle.

DRIVING LICENSE

A valid driver’s license in Portugal is required.

MINIMUM AGE

21 years old, with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

FUEL

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel they had on the date of delivery. The missing fuel will be charged to the client.

MOTORCYCLES

• Obligatory deposit of 200€
• The motorcycle is covered against third-party liability.
• The occupants ride under their own responsibility.
• In Portuguese law the insurers do not cover the occupants of the motorcycle.
• Optional insurance for tires, 10 €/day.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prices include VAT, mandatory liability insurance, maintenance, 24h travel assistance, CDW, SCDW.

Prices do not include parking charges, fines, fuel, clutch damage, lost documents (250€) and keys (300€).
Minimum deposit scdw 100.00€ (Gr A, B, BA, C and CA), minimum deposit scdw 500.00€ (Gr M and Q).
Minimum deposit 800.00€ (A, B, C, D and E), minimum deposit 1500.00€ (F and G).

The customer will always be responsible for all damage caused to third parties or the rented vehicle whenever it:

• Is driven by a person who is not legally qualified or authorized by CHARME RENT ;
• Suffer damage caused intentionally by the client, negligence or misuse;
• Is driven by a person under the influence of alcohol, drugs or suffering from mental insanity;
• Is used in sporting events, races, rallies, challenges, contests, etc;
• Suffer an accident and the same is not communicated to CHARME RENT as soon as possible;
• Suffer acts of vandalism such as broken windows, burst tires or damaged rims.

The lack of communication or late communication constitutes for the client the obligation to compensate CHARME RENT for all resulting expenses.

The customer is responsible for all road violations committed.

• Additional coverage Insurance for tires and glasses 5€ per day;
• In case of burst tire(s) without insurance contract, 150€;
• No smoking in the car, 100€;
• Supplement airport service, 15€;
• Out of hours from 18.00 to 08.00 additional cost 30 €.

WARNINGS

In case of accident you should call the authorities (112).
Call ambulance if there are injured.
Contact CHARME RENT (if you don’t do it you are responsible for all damages in the car).

Obtain from the other drivers involved:
– Name, address and phone number
– Driver’s license number, date and place of issue
– Make, model and license plate number of the other vehicles
– Insurance policy and insurance company
